Become a Community Based Referee!
Ever stood on the sidelines of your kids game and thought “I wonder if I could referee this match? Well, the answer is, you could! Becoming a Community Based Referee (CBR) is a benefit to the team and allows you the opportunity to get close to the action. As the players gets older, it becomes necessary for each team to provide a Community Based Referee as Coaches are not allowed to referee their own team’s games. Having at least one qualified CBR in the team is a huge asset and having even more CBRs is a real bonus as they can share the games. If your team has a CBR and the opposition don’t, you are entitled to ref the whole game.
When you attend this course, you’ll learn all you need to know on how to properly referee a game and your qualification will allow you to step up on the day with confidence.
The course is fun, interesting and you’ll get to meet other members of our football community. Plus, WSAFC will cover the cost of the course for you.
