ISPS Handa Women’s Premiership

Western Springs AFC is super proud to have six Springs players selected to represent Auckland Football Federation in the 2020 ISPS Handa Women's Premiership.

Congratulations Kate Hannay, Casey Berrier, Liz Anton, Rina Hirano, Arisa Takeda and Emma Pijnenburg.

The ISPS Handa Women's Premiership (formerly National Womens League) is the top level women's football league in New Zealand. The teams are run by the regional federations with all seven football federations participating in the 2020/21 competition.

The competition has been running since 2002 (with the exception of no competition in 2008) and Auckland Football Federation have been crowned champions eight times with the most recent being in 2017.

AFF got off to a great start for the 2020 competition winning their first three games but endured a 4:1 loss against last years finalists Northern Lights (Northern Football Federation) in Match Week 4 last weekend.

Heading into Match Week 5 this weekend, AFF are still sitting top of the table edging ahead of Canterbury United Pride (last year's winner) by goal difference.
