Girls and Women in Football Month

New Zealand Football and the seven football federations across the country are celebrating girls and women in football for the month of March. WSAFC are joining in the celebrations with the following events for female footballers, supporters and those keen to find out more about the beautiful game...

Girls and Women's Open Day at Springs
Sunday 13th March  | 10:00am - 12:00pm

Get your girl friends together and come on down to Seddon Fields for a fun filled morning of football with some great spot prizes to be won! 

This fun day is for all females in the community who are keen to have some fun on the turf with different skills stations run by some of our Premier Women's players and rising stars. There will even be a special appearance from a Football Fern with over 100 appearances for New Zealand!

The ever popular McDonalds inflatable pitch will be there too! So come on down and enjoy the fun and spread the word! Introduce a friend and win a prize!  Our Premier and Development Women's Teams will be playing friendly matches from 1pm so stay on and support our top women's players!

Intro to Refereeing (Female-Only)
Wednesday 23rd March  |  7:30pm - 8:30pm

This course is fun and interesting and if you're thinking “I could never do that…” you can!

It is a basic introduction to refereeing and is for parents, players, coaches or anyone who wants to learn more about refereeing, rules, what is and is not a foul, focusing on junior and youth football.

And it's free for all interested females!
