Adaptive Football Festival at Western Springs
Western Springs AFC are co-hosting an Adaptive Football Festival at Seddon Fields on Saturday 13th December.
This fun filled event is aimed at all those who wish to play an Adaptive form of the game, overseen by our amazing volunteers, from a number of clubs across Auckland.
Players include the Western Springs Wanderers, our Down syndrome team, who are hoping to play their debut game with other players from adaptive football programmes from Eastern Suburbs, Papatoetoe United or Fencibles United.
All these clubs can’t wait to welcome players of all abilities from across the local communities that want to be part of an inclusive football session.
Adaptive Football is tailored for players with disabilities who require additional support that may make participating in mainstream football challenging.
There will be some small-sided games between teams as well as skill sessions between 10am-12pm.
A presentation and function will follow in the clubhouse. Everyone is welcome to come down, bring their boots, and be part of an another action packed day here at Seddon Fields!
