WSAFC Academy Plants 600 Native Trees with EcoMatters

The latest WSAFC Academy Personal Development Day saw the Academy team up with EcoMatters to plant 600 native trees.

Around 30 players, parents and siblings turned up to the Glen Eden location to get their shovels in the dirt and help plant a better tomorrow.

Tree planters turned archeologists, the players spent 1.5 hours digging up all sorts of weird and wonderful finds, including a cow skull and the biggest worm any of us had ever seen! The planting wrapped with a sausage sizzle and plenty of smiles seeing the transformation we had made to the whenua.
