Men’s U20’s Competition

With no National Youth League this year, our Mens under 20s have been playing in a competition featuring Auckland United FC, Bay Olympic FC, Birkenhead United AFC, Central United FC, East Coast Bays AFC, Eastern Suburbs AFC, Fencibles United AFC, and two Hamilton teams of Hamilton Wanderers and Melville United AFC

Men's Premier Head Coach, Chris Zoricich believes this competition is an important step for players making the transition from youth to senior football.

"This is what this competition is primarily for, development and learning not results. It gives us the ability to include some of our younger players and introduce them to the culture of our senior environment. They get to experience the intensity of how we train and the professionalism in what we are looking for in a senior player, i.e. arriving on time, attitude and application during training, and whether they can play to instructions, rather than doing their own thing and not playing as part of the team".
