Introducing Matt
Hi Everyone,
I am Matt Ellis and I am a player for the Western Springs Men’s 1st team. Born and raised in Auckland, I have spent time playing for Three Kings United, Onehunga Sports, Central United and Auckland City FC while also having a stint playing abroad in the United States of America.
I have been lucky enough to have some great and unforgettable experiences in football having gone to the FIFA Club World Cup 2022, the Oceania Champions League and most recently had the honour of playing for the New Zealand U23 team.
I play as an attacking player, primarily as a winger while also having spent a lot of time playing as an attacking midfielder. I am eager to support the development of any young players that are looking to improve their skill set in this area, keeping it fun and encouraging.
My sessions will focus a lot on technical ability, ball mastery skills, 1v1 ability and position specific movements.

Neymar - brilliant all round attacking player with great technical ability and skill. Exciting to watch.
