NZF Junior Football Coaching Handbook (CoachMate) - CLICK HERE
This is a resource designed to support coaches working with young football players in New Zealand. It provides practical guidance on teaching football fundamentals, focusing on developing skills, understanding the game, and fostering a positive environment for young athletes.
The handbook covers age-appropriate coaching strategies, drills, and tips to help coaches effectively engage with players, enhance their learning, and encourage teamwork, enjoyment, and sportsmanship. It emphasizes a player-centered approach, promoting growth both on and off the field.
WSAFC Girls Academy Sessions
The "Girls Academy Coaching Document" in the downloads section (See right) outlines the structure, goals, and content of a coaching session designed for young female athletes here at WSAFC. These are great examples of the curriculum currently implemented by the Academy Coaches.

NRF Equity Charter
Springs is one of 8 clubs in Auckland who signed the NRF Equity Charter in late July 2023. The Equity Charter and associated support is designed to create long term culture change within football club environments to provide more inclusive environments that will be better for everyone involved in the game.
The 2024 NRF Equity Charter Report for WSAFC has been developed for WSAFC by NRF and provides valuable insights into the progress made so far to implement the Equity Charter guidelines. This report has been designed to highlight key findings from the evaluation process so we can develop and validate ideas and highlight which action plan areas need most focus. This first summary report also gives baseline data of where our Club is now and will enable measurem ent of the impact for the Club as actions are put in place over time.
OFC Gender Equity Playbook
The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Gender Equality Playbook has been developed for sport administrators in the OFC region who are interested in increasing women’s participation and performance, developing equitable sport organisations and addressing social inequalities through sport programming.
Football Federation Australia - Women's Football Development Guide
The Football Federation Australia - Women's Football Development Guide Provides useful and practical advice and strategies to encourage football clubs to ensure that their female members are having the best experience in football possible. Whilst this guide is written with an Australian football audience in mind much of the advice and strategies provided can be applied to New Zealand clubs.
