PAST EVENTS

WSAFC Women in Football Event

When:   Sunday 23rd March, 3:30pm to 5:00pm
Where:  Western Springs AFC

As a valued member of our Western Springs AFC footballing community, we would like to invite you along to our Women in Football afternoon, in collaboration with Northern Region Football.

We hope you can join us in celebrating New Zealand Football’s Girls and Women Month with an afternoon of light bites, refreshments, networking and korero and hear from our panel of community referees, coaches and team leaders.

The purpose of the event is to inspire a new group of female referees, coaches and football leaders in the lead up to the 2025 season.

We will be hearing from women who have been involved as referees, coaches and football leaders in the past couple years. We will discuss what they enjoy most about being involved and some of the challenges they faced at the beginning of their journey. We will also outline the resources that are available to support new referees, coaches and football leaders.

This initiative aligns with our strategic outcomes strategy of being an inclusive and empowering environment that welcomes all ages, genders and abilities and is committed to advancing women and girls in football.

If you are female aged 13+, have ever played sport, have run an event i.e. a birthday party, have done any form of teaching, are interested in being more involved in supporting your child in their football or want to inspire the next generation of football superstars then this event is for you!

Female members from other clubs are more than welcome to attend. Connect with the football community and hear from our guest speakers.

Spaces are strictly limited - so we encourage you to RSVP as soon as possible to celebrate with us at this special evening.
