Girls Born 2014-15
Players can attend these sessions with the aim of playing in an U9-10 Girls Pre-Development team during 2025. The Pre-Development teams play their weekly games on Saturday mornings and are a stepping stone towards playing in a Pre-Academy team. Players in the Pre-Development teams may be more motivated - and will be committed to train 2x weekly during the season with an Academy Coach (coaching fees will apply).
As an alternative other players may choose to play alongside friends in a social team
ID Sessions 2025:
- Tuesday 11 February 4-5pm
- Thursday 13 February 4-5pm
Register to Attend
To register to attend Player Identification sessions (this is free and different to club registration for the season) for an Pre-Development Team, click on the button below and then the correct pathway (Girls or Mixed). It would be helpful with planning sessions if players attending could register at least 24 hours before.
Additional information
- Only players who have registered for Western Springs AFC for 2025 may be selected for a team. Register here and follow steps - registrations open at start of 2025.
- Players whose priority is to play with friends (or stay in the same teams as in 2024) should not attend these sessions but instead will be placed in teams by their grade coordinator once club registrations close. Players can share these preferences when registering for the 2025 season.
Day of session
- Players should arrive 15 minutes before it starts to register their arrival and be allocated a bib
- Players should bring a full drink bottle to speed up breaks so we play more football
- Players should wear turf boots, shin pads and appropriate football clothing
Following the sessions
- All players who attend will be informed if they have a place in a Pre-Development team or alternative opportunities to continue to play and developm their skills.
- Please also have a look at the further information relating to each grade on our website - https://wsafc.org.nz/players
