Meola Road works

For the purposes of the work, Meola Road has been separated into four sections:

  1. Point Chevalier Road to Walford Road
  2. Walford Road intersection to Property 207 (near the dog park entrance)
  3. The middle, non-residential section
  4. Properties 1-21 Meola Road - i.e. the Westmere end

During March, we worked in all four sections.

Meola Road - Point Chevalier Road to Walford Road

The bulk of the March work in this section related to underground services.  Vector and Chorus continued their portion of the work - relocating the cables and laying new private property connections.

At the Walford Road intersection, the team has begun excavations for this area’s raised pedestrian crossings and speed table.  The white geotextile fabric in the images below is laid on top of the clay for added road stability.

What to expect on Meola Road from 29 April

From Monday 29 April:

  • During work hours, Meola Road will be open to traffic with multiple stop-go closures operating Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.

  • Outside these times, two-way traffic operates.

  • On-road parking will not be available.
