EXECUTIVE BOARD UPDATE: GENERAL MANAGER APPOINTMENT
Following the Executive Board update at the end of September and a competitive recruitment process, we’re thrilled to announce that Steven Dillon has been appointed as the newly created General Manager at the club. Steven will be leading day to day operations of the Club and helping to achieve our strategic goals and vision.
Steven brings extensive experience in football in various development and management roles across Federation, NZ Football, A-League and most recently with Oceania Football Confederation leading initiatives from grassroots to high performance levels.
Steven’s knowledge of the local football ecosystem, management skills, and passion for the sport, it's community, partners and sponsors, will make him a valuable addition to the Club.
Steven shared his thoughts with us- "I am very excited to be joining Western Springs AFC and ensuring that we have a club that is authentically connected to the community.
The club has a longstanding and proud history and I am grateful for the opportunity to be the club's first ever General Manager.
We have a great opportunity to achieve success on and off the field at all levels of the game and I can’t wait to get started in 2025."
