Girls Academy Manager and Women’s Premier Assistant Coach – Full Time

$50,000 salary range

Western Springs AFC are looking for a Girls Academy Manager and Coach to join our team 

After a successful 2023 Women’s campaign, we are looking to continue to strengthen the Girls and Women’s development programme and are advertising for a suitable candidate to fill the coaching position of Girls Academy Manager.  

The Girls Academy Manager will work closely with the Head of Women’s Football and Leadership team to support the growth of the Football Systems at Western Springs.

The Girls Academy Manager  will be responsible for;

• Assistant Coach of  Women’s Premier Team
• Head Coach Girls Academy Team
• Pre-Academy and Academy coach development
• Holistic player development
• Development of Curriculum and Game Model
• Player identification

Additional Tasks:

• Oversee Individual Development Plans of high-potential talent
• Video Analysis
• Support Team Tournaments

A successful applicant will be highly motivated, team player, and a great communicator. It is imperative the applicant holds a full OFC C License qualification and the successful applicant will be checked through the NZ Police vetting system. 

You will be required to work non-traditional hours and weekends however, as in the case with sport, the position may require some flexibility regarding the type of work required and the number of hours worked each week. Weekends and evening work will be required for the role.

Sport Scientist – Part Time

$8,000 salary range. 

WSAFC are seeking a part time Sport Scientist to work with our Premier Women's Team, Academy and Community Teams to provide an athlete development programme, focusing on improving fitness, reducing injuries and increasing performance.

The role would include planning and developing team and individual athletic programmes, some on-field work for trainings, gym coaching and GPS monitoring for the athletes. You will be working closely with the Head of Women's Football, Girls Academy Manager and the physiotherapy department plus other stakeholders. 

The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification and ideally have experience working with football teams.
