WSAFC enthusiastic for Whole of Football 2.0
Many people will be aware of the Whole of Football 2.0 framework released by NZ Football. Our own Head of Junior and Youth Football, Andy Vernon believes it will be positive for the sport.
"Small-sided games are fantastic for younger players as they provide more touches on the ball and more opportunities to develop skills during these important early years. More touches brings more fun, a greater love for our game, and opportunities to score goals like Chris Wood or dribble like Emma Pijnenburg," said Vernon.
"For our WSAFC community, these changes are not huge but will bring positive benefits in the short and long term. Some of the changes are linked to facilities and equipment; we’re working on what these changes will look like for all ages. We look forward to sharing further information over the next few months as we look forward to 2026. In the meantime keep enjoying the 2025 season."
