Resurfacing Seddon Fields - May Update
Welcome back to all club members and supporters and best wishes for what we hope is an uninterrupted season.
While positive that the season proper is underway unfortunately, we have less positive news on the project to resurface our artificial pitches. Council and the contractors responsible for the resurfacing project have advised the club that shipping delays will delay the project completion date. The club had originally been advised to expect access to the pitches in late May, the contractors are now saying this looks more likely to be late July.
While frustrating the club operations team continues to work closely with Council and other clubs to identify alternative training and competition venues over this period. Despite the club’s best endeavours teams can expect some impact on their normal training routines.
Unfortunately, these delays place still further pressure on our remaining grass pitches, so we ask all teams to pursue alternate training locations if possible.
While the artificial pitches are out of service the clubrooms will remain open, so we encourage teams training at other venues to return to the clubrooms to socialise.
On a more positive note we’re pleased to advise that the MOTAT carpark development is progressing well. Fingers crossed that by the end of July we can enjoy trouble free parking and world class playing pitches.
Best wishes for the season.
