SPRINGS CLEAN UP!

On Sunday 28th July, our Girls Academy rocked the Albert-Eden Zero-Waste Festival with Earth Action Trust and Waiōrea Community Recycling Centre! Led by Katie "Roodie" Rood, we ditched the pitch for a good cause, collecting a whopping 169kg of rubbish!
Our future stars had a blast learning about recycling, bonding as a team, and giving back to our community.
Together, we created a great, positive, clean space for all to enjoy.
Here were the results:
- Diversion rate: 45%
- Landfill waste: 93.2kg
- Plastic collected: 13.9kg
- Cans collected: 26.5kg• Glass collected: 35.9kg
- Illegal dumping cases reported and removed: 40kg
